Will's Journal: Capping Day

Today is Capping Day and I am very nervous. My cousin, Jack, is being capped and I don't know if he is going to be the same after he is capped, but I have a feeling that the huge white colored tripods with three long tenticles and bright lime green glowing windows will have a big effect on my cousin as I know him.

I don't think that Jack is the same anymore. It has been two days since his capping and when I ran into Jack today he was very vague and wouldn't say a whole lot to me. I don't know what happened inside of the tripods, but I know that whatever happened in there is something that I don't want to happen to me

Will's Journal: Ozymandias

Today met up at the den with a strange man that has been around town for a while named Ozymandias.He pretends to be a Vagrant but he is really is a man who lives on a plot of free land called the White Mountains. He told me all sorts of things about how he got his cap from a dead human being and wasn't put on his head by Tripods, but by other humans. He told me about how there is a way for me to go to the White Mountains and I think that I am going to find a way to get there. I better go get packed.

Will's Journal: In the Hut

Henry is traveling with me now. He saw me sneaking out of the house and I couldn't have told him to go home because he would have told everybody that I was running away. The only reason that he is traveling with me is because his mother died and he isn't going to stay with his not so comforting dad. When he told me that he knew that I was running away the only thing that I could do was allow him to follow me and now I have a sprained ankle.
We were walking along a path trying to keep our distance from a town nearby when Henry said that he heard someone coming. He told me t run and as I was running away I tripped. The worst part was that there wasn't anyone following us but a group of sheep that were curious in what we were doing! Well I better go I think I hear a noise.

Will's Journal: The Ruined City

Henry and I are now traveling with a strange boy who we call Beanpole. We are traveling through a ruined city now and it is very surprising at what we see. There are crumpled buildings everywhere and it is very odd to look at. Beanpole is telling Henry and I all about the history of the city and I am very fascinated. I think I better go, I see something shiny...

Will's Journal: At the Castle

While Beanpole, Henry and I were traveling, I started to get sick. I ended up catching a fever and had to rest for a couple of days. When I woke up I was in a room on a bed that was so soft that it seemed impossible. I later found out that I was staying in a castle where the Compt and Comptess live with there daughter, Eloise.
I must have made a good impression because I have been invited to permanently live in the castle. I also have befriended Eloise even though she has been capped I know that we can still be great friends in the future. Some of the things that Eloise and I have done together includes horseback riding and taking a little boat to an island that we both saw on one of our previous adventures. I like it a lot here and I have a big decision whether or not I should live with this family.
